
The Education Department CITY OF SANTIAGO KALANDRAKA and convene the Third Prize International 'COMPOSTELA' for Picture Books, with a prize of 12,000 euros as an advance by copyright. The deadline for submission of work will end on February 26, 2010 and the jury's decision will be announced on April 2, coinciding with the International Day of Children's and Youth, and within the framework of activities of Promotion Campaign X Reading organized by the municipality of Santiago and KALANDRAKA.
Compostela Prize is aimed at authors and illustrators of all nationalities to submit original and unpublished works. Those interested in presenting to the competition should send five copies of the text in any of the official languages \u200b\u200bof the Iberian Peninsula, three original illustrations and five photocopies of each, along with a printed model of the project. The material, signed under an alias, was sent to the Registrar General of the Municipality of Santiago.

KALANDRAKA publish the winning work in the five mainland official languages -Galician, Castilian, Catalan, Euskera and Portuguese, in October 2010. The jury will comprise persons of recognized standing in the field of children's literature and illustration.
